Apparently today is lets pick on wide receivers day. That said, wide receivers seem to do some of the most consistently stupid things in all of professional sports (if not life in general). Brandon Marshall is now complaining that the Broncos did not celebrate his acquittal from his most recent misdemeanor battery charge. In my opinion, this is a statement that deserves all the ridicule one can possibly deliver. This "gentleman" has been arrested 3 times in the last 18 months and I was too lazy to look any further back than that. Convicted or not, Marshall needs to go hide in a hole and only show up for practice and on Sundays. He obviously had an aggressive enough fight with his girlfriend that the police had to show up and felt it neccesary to charge him... this is something I (or any of my friends) have never had happen. Now on to the acquittal, it's not like a touchdown, you don't do a dance and celebrate. As such, go be thankful, walk away quietly and move on with your life.
Moving on to Marshall's next ridiculous statement, the Broncos and Marshall have trust issues... in the variety of Marshall not trusting the Broncos. Let me see, Marshall makes a shade over $2mn and can't stop getting arrested. If anything, I think the Broncos should be the one with trust issues. I also must note, this is the same player who "fell" through a glass table hindering his offseason training before the 2008 season. Brandon Marshall has requested a trade and I would ship him out of town for anything within reason. He is going to an issue in the locker room, he's crazy and you have a QB who can't get him the ball deep (but that's for another time). PLEASE TRADE HIM BEFORE IT GETS WORSE! Yes I know, he's gone over 1,000 yards the last two seasons but at what price are you willing to keep him for.
